The Kawana Park Eagles were founded in 2001 by Peter Phelan and Luke Curran. The club was formerly known as Chancellor Park Eagles and entered the Sunshine Coast Junior League in 2002.

Initially the club was based at Chancellor Park State School, but as the club grew there was a need for a new home, and we relocated to the University of the Sunshine Coast for the 2004 and 2005 seasons.

The 2006 season was a turning point for the club. As the game grew in popularity, so did our club. An under 14 team was added and bringing home the clubs first of many premierships for the Eagles. A new home was found the Kawana State College. This allowed the club to have facilities to cater for future teams. In 2009 the club officially changed its name to Kawana Park Eagles.

After many great years and success at Kawana State College it was time to establish a base we could proudly call home. In 2020 we moved to the Meridan Sports Complex. This move was a great decision as it provided the club with 2 full sized AFL ovals including LED lighting and fantastic drainage. We can provide our members with the training facilities they need to help them grow and improve their game. We also boast a great modern clubhouse, 4 change rooms, a canteen, coach's lock up, equipment shed, and first aid room.
